Embracing National Gratitude Month

While the argument can be made that there’s a day and month for just about everything these days, and yes, we do love national chocolate chip cookie day as much as the next person, this month’s focus is one that really speaks to us and our mission at Spa Theory. National Gratitude Month takes place each November and it celebrates the importance of finding gratitude each and every day.

We’re taught from a young age to be thankful for family, friends, the food we’re eating, and air we’re breathing, but besides being the polite thing to do, giving gratitude does have significant benefits to our health and wellness.

According to an article that Harvard published, “In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.”

And we can all use more happiness!

But practicing gratitude doesn’t need to be all about the big things like family, friends, health, food. Gratitude can be the little things like being grateful your body got up with your alarm this morning, or being grateful the bus arrived on time.

This month as we celebrate National Gratitude Month it’s a reminder to find something, big or small, each day to be thankful for. Because it’s not what you don’t have – it’s about all the things you do have that matter!

At Spa Theory we’re most grateful for our incredible providers who make what we do possible. We were built on the idea that everyone deserves to have wellness whenever and where ever they want. Our providers travel around as a mobile spa bringing 5-star spa services to customers and make our mission a reality every day.
